about us

The Queer Sol Collective is a Queer and Indigenous-led NGO and registered non-profit. Our initiative is centered in activating emergence in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community through the art and practice of Queer embodiment. Our movement is designed to ignite the emotional connection between the self and the land, piecing back together the true understanding of what nature is: everything, including us. This understanding is an essential component of our core philosophy and guides our intentions and actions in our programmatic approach.

Our headquarters reside on the sovereign land of the San Pasqual Band of Kumeyaay Indian's. A federally recognized tribe of the Kumeyaay nation in southern California. And while our roots run deep within this sacred land, we go where our work is needed and welcomed. We are a young and humble organization that is growing rapidly as the need for collective wellness accelerates, especially within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.  Our board is gender expansive and majority BIPOC. Our leadership is one hundred percent Queer.

A sanctuary for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. A place of safety, discovery, healing, celebration, integration, and wellness. A mission anchored in engaging communities on the land and introducing Indigenous methodologies that activate and restore the symbiotic relationships between the individual, the land, and the collective.

OUR MISSION

A future where Queer and Indigenous leadership is embraced and biodiversity restored to our social and environmental ecosystems. A place where our 2SLGBTQIA+ siblings are safe to embody their identities to the fullest extent of personal and collective expression.

OUR VISION

We know that nature is Queer. That being in right relationship with the land is the only way forward. That embracing Queer BIPOC leadership not only serves our community, but the human collective as a whole. That culture is medicine, and the social foundations required for whole person health cannot be delineated or treated individually, but must be addressed in tandem with each other for the well being of the human collective.
